OBJECTIVES OF COURSE
The student is expected to:
- Know important forest insects, their role in the forest ecosystem,
and their impact on forest resources.
- Learn how to apply the concepts of insect populations dynamics
to evaluating, forecasting and assessing the risk of insect outbreaks.
- Learn the concepts of insect populations and dynamics and be
able to apply this knowledge to evaluating, forecasting and controlling
insect outbreaks.
- Learn how to evaluate and analyze specific forest insect problems
and develop management options.
