OBJECTIVES OF COURSE


The student is expected to:
  1. Know important forest insects, their role in the forest ecosystem, and their impact on forest resources.
  2. Learn how to apply the concepts of insect populations dynamics to evaluating, forecasting and assessing the risk of insect outbreaks.
  3. Learn the concepts of insect populations and dynamics and be able to apply this knowledge to evaluating, forecasting and controlling insect outbreaks.
  4. Learn how to evaluate and analyze specific forest insect problems and develop management options.
