OBJECTIVES OF COURSE
For the students to:
- Develop an appreciation for the effects that arthropods have had on the social and biological evolution of humans.
- Recognize and be able to identify arthropods that affect human and certain warm-blooded vertebrate hosts.
- Know the general ecology, distribution and importance of arthropods and the diseases they vector.
- Understand the epidemiology of arbodiseases.
- Become familiar with the management efforts employed to control arthropods or medical importance.
