OBJECTIVES OF COURSE


For the students to:
  1. Develop an appreciation for the effects that arthropods have had on the social and biological evolution of humans.
  2. Recognize and be able to identify arthropods that affect human and certain warm-blooded vertebrate hosts.
  3. Know the general ecology, distribution and importance of arthropods and the diseases they vector.
  4. Understand the epidemiology of arbodiseases.
  5. Become familiar with the management efforts employed to control arthropods or medical importance.
