Course Objectives:

  1. Understand the concepts and issues specific to the development and implementation of biologically-based suppression of noxious plant species in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
  2. Acquire a knowledge of various classical biological control-oriented programs in the western United States

Grading Criteria:

A student's course grade will be determined as follows:

*The final exam will be based upon a short essay format and will require the students to exercise their critical thinking, information synthesis, and writing skills.

**The term paper will follow prescribed guidelines set forth by the instructor and will assess the student's analytical, information acquisition, computer literacy, and scientific writing abilities. Students will be required to orally discuss the selection of their term paper topic and receive the instructor's approval before proceeding with the paper's development.
