OBJECTIVES OF COURSE

  1. Acquire an appreciation of current local, regional, national and global pesticide use patterns with particular emphasis on adverse environmental impacts associated with use.
  2. Become cognizant of factors that must be considered in making decisions to utilize pesticides, particularly sociological and environmental considerations.
  3. Accumulate information which provides an excellent knowledge base for pesticide applicator licensing examinations administered by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
