OBJECTIVES OF COURSE

For the student to be able to:

1. Develop an appreciation for the diversity of life in this region
2. Understand the factors affecting the occurrence and nature of animals through time and space
3.

Become familiar with the biologies of major groups of animals

4. Associate the processes of evolution with animal adaptations
5. Relate animal biological needs to pressing environmental issues
