In June Drs. Mee Young Song & Dr. Tae Ho Ro stopped by Pullman on their way back home to South Korea. They had been on sabbatical for a year at Princeton University. While waiting for their return flight they stopped off in the Seattle area to visit classmates Todd Murray, Pete Gothro and Nelson Kabalo. Todd is a WSU Extension Educator in King County. Nelson is an inspector for Alaska Airlines. Pete is working for the US Food & Drug Administration, Mee Young (Gyeonggi Research Institute ) was a Visiting Fellow at Princeton, and Tae Ho is a scientist at the Korea Environment Institute, Seoul, Korea. It’s great to see our alums keeping their WSU connections alive and well.

Honors College Commencement – May 2, 2008
Steven Weaver is our only Honor’s College graduate this year. In the Fall Steven will begin his Master’s of Science program under Dr. Laura Lavine. Congratulations to Steven.

E. Paul Catts Memorial Lecture Event – March 20, 2008

This year’s guest speaker was Dr. Dale H. Clayton, Biology Dept. at University of Utah. In addition to the lecture on March 20th, Dr. Clayton made time to visit one‐on‐one with faculty and students as well as paying a visit to the University of Idaho. He also presented a seminar titled: “The ecological basis of coevolutionary history: A tale of two feather lice” on Friday, March 21.
