Some pictures of the Palouse and the surrounding area

Pullman is in the Palouse Hills of eastern Washington. Conditions are ideal for growing wheat, and this is one of the most productive wheat-growing regions in the world. To the east of Pullman the foothills of the Rocky Mountains begin. To the west lie dry grasslands, then eventually the cascades & the coast.
