Position Description/Activities:

Manager and Quarantine Officer of the Northwest Biological Control Insectary and Quarantine (NWBIQ). Responsible for the introduction, screening and propagation of exotic and native beneficial arthropods. Field efficacy trials, developing new and efficient methods of culturing, collecting, storing and shipping of beneficial bioagents. Current research includes biological control of legume, grain and potato aphids, greenhouse, nursery and floriculture pests, Cherry-bark tortrix on cherry, leafrollers on raspberries/blackberries and organic cropping systems.
