Announcements

There is no seminar on Feb 11th.  Our next seminar is on Wednesday, February 18th. Grants.gov has announced the RFP for the AFRI Food Security Program. The letter of intent deadline is April 2. The application deadline is June 4 which means proposals must be turned in to Jackie Bolden’s office in late May. Awards are up to $4 million.  The link to the announcement is:

Rove Pest Control is pleased to offer The Rove Pest Control Scholarship for 2015. This scholarship opportunity is open to high school students and graduates nationwide in the United States who have been accepted to a college or university. The award of $500.00 will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester.  Rove Pest Control has an excellent track record in both residential and commercial pest control services in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Although this scholarship is open to anyone seeking a higher education, special consideration will be given to anyone pursuing a degree in entomology or a related field. It was announced this week that Kimi Lucus is CAHNRS has a new Operations Manager.  She replaces Don Holbrook.

Grant information from the USDA-NIFA-SRGP-004796 Crop Pest Management Program Interregional Research Project IR-4 is attached.  Deadline is Feb. 18, 2015.

The last day to schedule Spring 2015 final MS/PhD exams is April 10.  The last day to conduct final exams is April 24, 2015. Spring interim dates are April 27-May 15, 2015.
