Rebecca Schmidt (Beers) Receives the H.S. Telford Entomology Scholarship

Rebecca Schmidt (Beers) has received the H.S. Telford Entomology Scholarship for travel to the annual ESA and Pacific Branch ESA meetings. Besides presenting at these meetings, Rebecca will co-run the Pacific Branch ESA Student Symposium, Text Messaging Competition, and participate in the Linnean Games  while serving as representative to the Pacific Branch’s Student Affairs Committee.   

Robert Zinna (Lavine) Receives Louis W. Getzin Memorial Scholarship

Robert Zinna (Lavine) has received the Louis W. Getzin Memorial Scholarship for travel to the 2014 Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology meeting and will present research that uses microscopy as an investigative tool for evaluating the combative horn status in Trypoxylus dichotomus.

Karol Krey (Snyder) Receives the Donald Hastings Scholarship

Karol Krey (Snyder) has received the Donald Hastings Scholarship to support travel to the annual ESA meeting and will be giving a presentation on her recent molecular-based research characterizing generalist predation on mites.

Paul Chrisholm (Crowder) Receives the George Tamaki Memorial Scholarship

Paul Chisholm (Crowder) has received the George Tamaki Memorial Scholarship for travel to the annual ESA meeting.  Paul will be contributing to the program symposium “Impacts of Global Change on Biodiversity and Control.”  He will also be presenting in the student presentation competition on his recent virus research.
