Our Wednesday seminar speaker on February 25th will be Todd Murray.  Todd is a WSU Extension Educator & Director of the Skaminia County Extension Program.  Todd graduated with a master’s degree from WSU Entomology in 1996.  His seminar is titled:   For more information on Todd Murray go to: http://www.zoominfo.com/p/Todd-Murray/92731982. Liquidation of Compensatory Time
Business Policies and Procedures Manual 60.59 requires unused compensatory (comp) time be paid in cash at the end of the biennium unless an exception is approved by the appointing authority. Employees should liquidate unused compensatory time by June 30, 2015. Cash payment of accrued compensatory time will be processed through Payroll Services using time report forms. Refer to BPPM 60.59 for more information regarding overtime eligible employees or contact Human Resource Services at 335-4521.

CAHNRS Dean Ron Mittelhammer announced that Chris Johnson will be joining CAHNRS as the new CAHNRS Finance Director, beginning Monday, March 16, 2015. As CAHNRS Finance Director and chief financial officer, Chris will advise and assist in the planning, integration, and control of all College’s financial resources, with special emphasis on the development of appropriate strategies to implement key components of the CAHNRS strategic plan.  Chris comes to WSU with an MBA, Bachelors of Arts in International relations, and over 16 years of leadership and fiscal experience. He has worked as the Deputy Executive Director at the Port of Anacortes, in various leadership positions within the Washington State Auditor’s Office, and as an adjunct faculty at Western Washington University.

Since 1996, the President’s Award has been an honor bestowed annually to students and others who advance leadership and engagement at WSU. Recipients of this prestigious award demonstrate exceptional leadership and service to the university and the community and/or support leadership development and engagement of WSU students. Award recipients will be honored at the Leadership and Engagement Awards of Distinction (LEAD) event on April 23, 2015

PULLMAN, Wash. – Information Technology Services (ITS) will implement a new email protection service provided by ProofPoint on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Skylight survey users should download their data by Feb 28 (Deadline extended)

  • Access to your Skylight surveys will be by request only. Email atl@wsu.eduto initiate request.
  • Allow five to seven business days to process your request.
  • June 2015: Skylight decommissioned.  No archive will be available.
  • Surveys in 2015:  WSU has a license in place for faculty and staff to use Qualtrics for surveys.  See surveys.wsu.edu for more information.

A WSU OGRD Graduate Grant Writing Workshop will be held on March 28 (Saturday) between 9am – 5pm. To sign up, please visit the website. Once students arrive at the website they need to sign up at the bottom of the workshop description. Students can also set up one-on-one meetings with Hannah Merley with assistance in funding searches, proposal editing, and an explanation of the submission process.

The last day to schedule Spring 2015 final MS/PhD exams is April 10.  The last day to conduct final exams is April 24, 2015. Spring interim dates are April 27-May 15, 2015.
