This represents an institution-wide effort to embrace a culture of entrepreneurship that celebrates working across boundaries, creativity in research and efforts to apply our academic work to problems in the world. This event is focused on providing exposure to the ongoing research projects and connections to individuals looking to help develop and deploy translational efforts. This event is part of a series of team-building events that aim to connect WSU students and University community members with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship. The goals for these events are to build grassroots level teams around novel ideas that can make a tangible impact in the world. It is expected that such events will spur collaborations to generate resources in order to translate the research outcomes into the world. Information on the funding and support opportunities available to WSU faculty and students will be provided at these events.  Please join us and be ready to tell us: What’s your problem?

The WSU Office of Emergency Management will be conducting the fall semester test of the WSUAlert system October 12 at 12:05 p.m. Faculty, staff and students associated with the Pullman campus who have signed up for emergency notifications will receive text messages, phone calls, and emails which will be clearly identified as a test. This test will also include the campus outdoor warning sirens and computer pop-up alerts. Washington State University places the safety and security of its students, employees, and visitors as its highest priority. WSU has developed the WSUAlert System to disseminate official information via email, text messages, telephone, loudspeakers, Alert Website, and other means to notify the campus population of emergencies or threatening situations. This can include inclement weather, violent actions, and gas leaks. When such events occur, WSU will activate appropriate components of the system to alert people that they should be Aware of the situation, Assess their individual circumstances, and Act to take appropriate safety precautions. WSU encourages students, faculty and staff to be personally aware of developing incidents, assessing each emergency individually, and taking actions to ensure the safety of all. All WSU students, staff and faculty can subscribe to WSUAlerts. Visit myWSU to register/update your emergency contact information. See for more information.
